Over the past month, I’ve been taking a women’s leadership class called “Playing Big” that’s totally redefined how I think about and approach the leaps I’m taking in my life. In the past, my leaps were big and sometimes overwhelming. Through “Playing Big,” I’ve redefined my leaps to make them more bite-sized and approachable:1. They can be started and finished within 1-2 weeks
2. They can be viewed as learning experiences (versus something that’s either a success or a failure)
3. They put me in direct contact with the people I want to connect with
Thinking about leaping in this way inspired me to change my current leap from “become certified to teach Zumba!” to “volunteer to teach Zumba with a nonprofit by November 8th.” I love the updated version because it inspires me to take action now versus using the excuse of not being certified or “not being ready” to hold back and play small.
What would your leap look like if you were “playing big” in this way?
